She is a member of the famous Petyarre (Pitjara) artist family; her cousin is the celebrated Gloria Petyarre. The Petyarre family is highly acclaimed painters in the Aboriginal Art world. Rosemary's paintings have featured in numerous exhibitions in Australia and overseas. Rosemary predominantly paints bush medicine leaves that the women would dry and mix with animal fat and apply topically for its healing qualities. Rosemary's style is consistent and rhythmic, lending a tranquil quality to the finished work.
