Archana Gurudu is a student and artist at Paradise Valley High School in Phoenix, Arizona. For over 8 years, creating art has been a passion of hers, and she has experimented with mediums like oil paint, watercolor, and colored pencil. As an AP Drawing student, Archana is fascinated by the self-expression and transformative power of visual art. In addition to creating artwork, she serves as a teacher's assistant at the Scottsdale Artist's School's Summer Youth Academy and a member of the AZ Youth Arts Council through the Arizona Commission on the Arts. All net proceeds from her work are donated to Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona, a non-profit organization that delivers arts programs to children who have experienced the trauma of abuse, neglect, and homelessness.
