Cement is the foundation of my work because it carries a sense of honesty, permanence, and grounded beauty. When I mix cement with pigments, aggregates, and additional mediums, I am creating surfaces that behave almost like natural formations. They settle, crack, absorb, and shift in ways that guide the direction of each piece.Texture and tone are the primary languages in my studio. I build, sand, layer, and refine until the surface reaches a balanced state that feels both strong and serene. I am influenced by the landscape of the Arizona desert and the quiet minimalism found in nature.
