Collyn DeBano is the designer and maker behind tree trunk arts, which began in 2009, while she was attending Grand Valley State University. After graduating with a BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing in 2011, she returned to Metro Detroit to build her business.Collyn’s inspirations come from nature found in odd places and the relationships that people have with objects. From her home studio in Detroit, MI, each element is cast in solid metal and is transformed into a unique piece of jewelry: twigs become earrings, succulents into rings, and maple seeds to necklaces.Nature adorns the body.
