“When I paint I need to feel a sense of calm. Even if the piece is chaotic, something about it will be soothing to me. Seeing a piece come together whether with color/texture or both is mind bogglingly zen-like. I simply love it.” Mo Zelle hails from Lathrup Village, MI and now resides in West Michigan. She grew up in a family that fostered a deep appreciation for art, taking many trips to explore the Detroit Institute of Arts Museum. Zelle has spent her working career teaching early childhood special education and is particularly drawn to helping children on the autism spectrum. She looks forward to delving into new techniques and mediums as she grows her audience and body of work.
