Patty Biederman is a Carmel-based Plein Air painter who derives the bulk of her inspiration from the landscapes she has seen on her numerous cross-country road trips in the states and her frequent forays abroad. Her career in the art world, first as an interior designer in the New York Metropolitan area and then as a gallery owner in rural Virginia, has been important in shaping her own perspective as an artist. But it is her love of connecting with other artists, her unwavering desire to continue learning and perfecting her craft and the joy of approaching each new day as ripe with possibility, that truly defines her art.
