Carol Chapman defies typecasting. A graduate of Smith College, she also studied at the Art Students League in New York. For nearly five decades Chapman has been a successful portrait, landscape and abstract painter working in oils, pastels and watercolors, as well as a sculptor of steel and bronze. This versatile artist’s stylistic signatures are color and space. Published by the Pompidou Centre and Christie’s Contemporary Art, she is internationally recognized from New York to London, Paris and Tokyo.
