Native Californian Dennis Stanford’s early interest in ceramics led him to earn a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts. A twenty year career as a commercial artist followed. Throughout this time he painted plein air in watercolor and exhibited widely. In 2000 Stanford focused more time on his painting and transitioned to oils with subjects ranging from landscape and still lifes to figurative. In the process he discovered his authentic creative voice which allows him to communicate with his viewers in a more personal way.
