Lisa Manuel is a second-generation artist originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. A graduate of the University of Alabama, she worked for decades as a critical care nurse in Tennessee, Louisiana and Mississippi. Later in like, she followed the inspiration of her creative mother and turned her attention to art. Fascinated by glassblowing on a cruise ship, Lisa traveled to NOLA to the New Orleans Glass and Printmaking Studio and Corning Museum of Glass in New York to learn this craft. Also, following in her mother's footsteps, she has started to work with glass through copper enameling. Her creative imagination is inspired by her travels, pets, family, and the city of New Orleans.
