Ron Stevenson photographs many places and faces, using light as the primary tool to create special images. Living on Puget Sound for many years now, you’ll usually find me on the water or very nearby.The Seattle area is well known as the birthplace of several major technology companies, and I’ve served as Senior Product Manager, Marketer, and Software Developer for many different organizations in both the Pacific Northwest and San Francisco Bay Area.My photography career began as a young man living on the East Coast, with clients in the Connecticut and New York area. I focused almost exclusively on product and commercial studio work – hardly ever shooting people. During my decades in the technology industry, I’ve crafted many narratives around business solutions, customer success, and the impact of software on people and companies. Now, after gaining some insight and a little wisdom, I’ve come to appreciate the uniqueness of each person’s life experiences, perspectives—and face. I’m focusing on producing new images and profiles, while sharing the inspirational stories of people and successful ideas. My work displayed at Barlow Gallery primarily features places I've been while on my boat around the Salish Sea in the Pacific Northwest, or traveling to other places.
