Although it took years to become a self-proclaimed artist, Liz Christy, discovered her love for the visual arts at a young age. Despite a lack of a formal art education, she continued creating throughout highschool and college, using painting and photography as an outlet. As a lifelong student of life and she takes inspiration from the things observed on a daily basis. Describing her pieces as purposefully disjointed or chaotic, she utilizes an array of materials including old newspapers, joint compound, and acrylic paints to play with textures and abstract concepts. She hopes one day to be able to create visual art on a full-time basis and to continue developing her personal style and aesthetic.
