MR.DEWCÄMP is an Atlanta-based artist whose work sparks nostalgia and emotion carving out a unique place in the world of art. Born Jeston Dominic Cameron in Jackson, Mississippi he moved to Atlanta with his family at the age of 5. Around this age he was already exhibiting a love for drawing and by age 7 was showing definite promise with his talent. Influenced by cartoons and comic book art he was always immersed in a form of creativity. At age 12 he received a scholarship for a semester at the Hudgens Art Center in Duluth, GA for their youth program where he found a love for abstraction.DEWCÄMP’s current works are produced with oil on linen canvas layering many brush strokes together to form his iconic shapes. His style consists of bold colors and abstract forms surrounded by muted tones with nostalgic symbolism embodying the figures. His works tell a story of optimism and resolve in the midst of mental strife.
