Susan Lynn’s paintings have been described as poetic, lyrical, luminous, and serene. Primarily a landscape painter, Susan is moved by evening lighting hitting a strand of prairie grasses, the movement of water, shadows crossing a winding road, and other mysteries of light and atmosphere. The early part of her career was spent working as an architectural illustrator, a practice that requires an understanding of perspective, cast shadows, reflections, and a constant study of how color behaves under varying light conditions. Susan works in both watercolor and oil, both en plein air and in the studio. To learn more about Susan, please visit her website.
