Chantal Grimb was born in Paris, France, on April 23, 1947. She began in a climate of dance, theater, music, and painting at the Academy of M. Chaumelle in France. 1967, she founded the Saint-Exupery Troupe and taught painting classes in Paris from 1969 to 1972. While working in a psychiatric hospital, she felt she had found the secrets of color. From '63 to '73, she held exhibits in eight cities in France. However, after consulting with her Guru, she took away her worldly possessions and went to Haiti. Again, she painted and held seven exhibits in Haiti up to 1976. Then, she founded a dance troupe and retired to the mission in Kenscoff for a year of meditation. During that time, she produced forteen frescos for the Chemin de la Croix mission, using known local faces for the Biblical scenes.
