GAY PETACHNashville Gay Petach creates lush, scenic pastels and oils featuring some of her favorite places on earth and in her rich imagination. Whenever possible she prefers to work outside because, as she puts it “nature is the best model”. The mood and temperament of her work often mirrors the season, be it summer, fall, winter, or spring. She is most noted as a colorist using a full spectrum of color in her creations. Born into a marine military family in Lexington, Kentucky, Gay received her formal art training from the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida. Her work has been exhibited widely throughout the United States and is included in many notable public, private, and corporate collections including Coca-Cola, Arthur Andersen & Company, AT & T, CNN Center, Mel Gibson, Margaret Thatcher, and Al Gore, Jr.
