Guerda Louizor was born on November 15, 1940-1941 in Vallée de Jacmel, Haiti. After her ninth grade at Vallée de Jacmel School, she began painting with watercolors. She studied nursing for 3 ½ years. In 1975, she joined the Centre d’Art, which was introduced by Jacques Laroche. She paints with a palette knife in her own style, similar to her husband, the late famous Haitian impressionist master Ernst Louizor.
