David Tyndall was born in 1958 and has a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts from Valparaiso University in Indiana, and also studied European art, architecture, and photography in Cambridge, England. Tyndall is known for his photo-realist oil paintings of automobiles, busy storefronts, turn-of-the-century buildings, the Old West, and farmland settings. His attention to detail highlights the aging process on the world around us- layers of graffiti and posters, rust, peeling paint, and other hallmarks of long-forgotten places. His work has been exhibited across the United States, and can be found in private collections in the United States, the Caribbean, and Great Britain. Tyndall is represented in galleries in Collingswood, New Jersey and Santa Fe, New Mexico. David Tyndall currently lives and works in Beverly Hills, Michigan with his family.
