Born in Baraderes on July 5, 1956, the late famous Haitian painter Camy Rocher did his primary education in Port-au-Prince. In 1970, he began painting under the supervision of Calixte Henry. In 1978, he entered the Art Center. He died prematurely, drowned on April 26, 1981, just as his talent was beginning to assert itself.
