Haitian artist Buffon Thermidor was born on April 2, 1960, in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti. He comes from an artistic family; his father was a shoemaker, and his mother was a hairdresser. While he officially began painting at the age of 18, his passion for art ignited during visits to the studio of the renowned Haitian master Philome Obin. Although he has created some political works, Thermidor is best known for his meticulously detailed depictions of Cap-Haïtien architecture, a subject he deeply values. His work holds significant importance and impact.
