"Kym is a realist oil painter in Greenville, SC. Originally from McKinney, TX, she grew up in Georgia and the Carolinas. She received a BFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a MFA in sculpture from Clemson University.Rooted in realism, and steeped in dream logic, the Western-infused imagery points to my roots and early childhood in Texas, and I aim to imbue the work with a sense of wonder, in an attempt to reaccess my childhood imagination."
