Lorenzo Torres Narciso was born and raised in the Philippines. He earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from Ateneo de Manila University in 2017. A year later, he moved to New York City to begin his artistic training at the Grand Central Atelier. Inspired by the naturalist painters and tonalists at the turn of the 19th century, Lorenzo continuously explores a studio practice geared towards developing paintings of a high technical caliber with timeless appeal. A sensitive painter, Lorenzo is drawn to creating paintings reflecting an inner life that colors and shapes his perception and experience of nature. His personal work touches on nostalgia, longing, solitude, and a quiet appreciation for life. Lorenzo currently paints out of his studio in Brooklyn, New York.
