ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Peter Ollerhead was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland in 1981. He is a representational painter who is inspired by the dramatic landscapes of western Newfoundland. In 2023, he had his first solo exhibition at the Tina Dolter Gallery in Corner Brook, NL. Following this exhibition, in November 2023, Peter apprenticed with one of Canada’s preeminent painters, John Hartman. He hopes to continue with this mentorship next year.Peter studied Fine Arts at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland while also building a small business, Cycle Solutions in Corner Brook. As the bike shop grew, he reluctantly put his artistic endeavors on hold. The pandemic gave Peter the time to return to painting the landscape that he had been biking, running and skiing through for many years.Peter currently lives in Corner Brook, Newfoundland.
