Whenever he engages with scenery in a video game (like Sonic the Hedgehog), he wishes he could be there to enjoy the views. From beaches to snowy mountains to outer space, these fantastical settings make him feel he's in the right place. This imagery is inspiring for Matt when he draws, most often working with marker to create his bold compositions. He likes to work both from his imagination - focusing on futuristic, dystopian, epic, adventurous themes - and also from well-known historical figures or events. Matt says his imagination will always be part of him, and he loves to make inventive drawings as a way for both himself and the viewer to temporarily escape reality.
