Joanna Chrys is a mixed-media artist based in Los Angeles, CA. With a background in weaving and textile design, her creative practice transformed from weaving and dyeing fabrics to creating colorful and textural painted worlds on canvas. In a flow of consciousness, dots of acrylic paint are composed and layered onto the canvas, creating highly texturized surfaces. Through complex and rhythmic action, geometric, cosmic, and psychedelic patterns result in an amplified interpretation of emotion.
