Misayo Tsutsui was born in Yokohama, Japan, in 1974. She studied Design at Musashino Art University, then traveled to Oaxaca in 2007, where she studied Plastic and Visual Arts at UABJO. Later, she became general manager of the Takeda Gallery, attached to the EBA of the University Autonomy Benito Juárez de Oaxaca. She is also co-founder of the Burro Press Workshop. Currently, she finds herself interested in the daily life of Oaxaca, where she makes illustrations and prints that are inspired by the people, culture and traditions that she observes daily.
