The piece "Thought Tree" is the result of ruminations on what a disembodied consciousness might look like. It is meant to be lighthearted and joyful. Much of Nikki Turner's work is an exploration of multiple points of view within the canvas. The pieces function simultaneously as pattern on the surface plane as well as referencing a point of view above the earth and within the body on a cellular level. Nikki delights in the process of creating her pieces and hopes to share that with her viewers.
