"My work is a celebration of the interplay between my Chinese-Italian heritage, my travels, and my personal experiences. Through bold colors and dynamic compositions, I aim to evoke profound emotions and challenge conventional artistic norms. Inspired by the harmony of aesthetics instilled by my architect father from Shanghai and the keen eye for detail from my Italian-American mother, I create art that seamlessly navigates between landscapes and abstract forms. Formally trained from a young age, I continuously explore the transformative power of self-expression, both in my studio practice and through teaching art. My recent focus on abstraction allows me to delve deeper into the fundamental elements of color, light, and shapes, infusing each brushstroke with life and energy. Using oil paint on canvas, I engage in a nonverbal dialogue with viewers, inviting them to explore the inexpressible through my creations. My paintings are layered with movement, depth, and emotion, capturing fleeting moments of light and memory. Drawing inspiration from landscapes and personal experiences, I find fulfillment in bringing imaginative worlds into tangible existence."
