Steve Brennan received his BFA in painting from Paier College of Art in 1987. Winning national attention and awards, his work has been featured in numerous publications and media. Throughout his career, Steve has dedicated himself to painting still lifes, trompe l’oeil, and portraiture. His work is held in many institutional and private collections as well as universities and federal courts. Steve has taught still life and portraiture at Paier College of Art and enjoys living and painting in Connecticut. With an eye for simplicity of design, Steve’s goal as a painter is to explore the basic shapes that surround us and make up the world we see and interact with. Squares, rectangles, circles and triangles - these elemental shapes are made obvious in his compositions and choices, with a hope that some inherent grace, function, timelessness, and even humor is expressed.
