Anne Jameson was introduced to drawing as a small child by her father who taught her how and she knew that a lifetime of painting would be in her future when she won her first blue ribbon in art while in the first grade. From childhood Anne enjoyed drawing and painting views of a snow event or fall’s foliage from the living room window and continued her interest in art through high school and college, graduating with a Double Area Major and Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art ( and a Minor in Dance) from Vanderbilt University. Her subject matter varies from the architecture of the hill towns in Tuscany to the small towns of the Carolinas, to the landscapes of the California mountains to the Blue Ridge foothills near her home and studio in Saluda which she shares with nationally acclaimed artist husband, William Jameson, and their two Shih Tzus, Leo and Max. She has taught art and exhibited in galleries in North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Oregon, Washington and California. Her work can be found in corporate and private collections throughout the south to the Pacific northwest.
