Painter and clay artist Randy Nahohai was born in 1958 into the Eagle Clan at Zuni Pueblo. He was taught the traditional art of making pottery by his mother, Josephine Nahohai (1912 - 2007). Randy Nahohai was known for his contemporary interpretation of historic Zuni pottery shapes and designs. One of his favorite motifs was the frog and tadpole.
