"Since taking the necessary leap from a community nursing practice to a professional art practice in 2021, I’ve been riding the waves of change in identity, worldviews, and the nature of relationships to self, each other, and the collective. After a period of quiet recalibration, I began following the breadcrumb trail of what sparks me alive—the natural scientist and explorer in me was waiting.Today, my work combines elements of ecology, natural history, folklore, and, most importantly, our relationship with the Land we call home. When I’m not creating work on canvas or making wild ink color, I’m tending to all the creatures of my life—three sons, an Aussiedoodle, and numerous houseplants."
