Dave was born on the Gold Coast in 1979. His people are the Barunggam People, the traditional owners of Chinchilla in south-west Queensland’s Darling Downs district. As an artist and writer, Dave is inspired and connected to the waterways and landforms of Kombumerri Country on which he was raised and the fresh waters of western Queensland. Dave’s art is reflective of his love of surfing, fishing and the elements surrounding his family in the outdoors.
