MEET LESLIE RAE Born and raised in Atlanta, Leslie graduated with a degree in art and education from Presbyterian College. After teaching art in Gwinnett county for 10 years she retired from the classroom to focus on raising her three children. Now with an empty nest, Leslie has traded in her carpool numbers and play-dates for canvases and paintbrushes.​Leslie's work is primarily in acrylics with bright, varied color palettes on canvas or wood panels. She paints outside when she can or in her studio in Atlanta. Her subject matter is often inspired by nature or the beach.​Leslie is influenced and inspired by faith, family, Southern surroundings and hopes her art might brighten a room, evoke a sweet memory, and spread a little joy.​Leslie takes limited commissions in between her studio painting. leslieraecannonart@gmail.com​
