Edith Chavez graduated from the School of Fine Arts of the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca, with a specialty in graphic arts.She was an invited artist at the Highpoint Center for Printmaking in Minneapolis, Minnesota and invited to the Colography Competition in Cienfuegos, Cuba.Her awards include first place at the Shinzaburo Takeda Biennial and has exhibited in Argentina, Mexico, China, USA, Cuba, Nicaragua, Japan, Serbia, Italy, Ecuador, Spain, Taiwan, Canada, and England. She is currently part of the Burro Press Workshop and is based in Oaxaca City.
