CINDY KLEINE is an artist who works in film, photography, video, audio and text, sometimes merging these into narrative and immersive installations. Kleine attended Wesleyan University and earned a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University and an MFA from Bard College. She taught filmmaking at Boston College, Harvard University, The Museum School, Art Institute of Boston and The New School for Social Research, NYC. Her films have been exhibited at Telluride, Toronto, Berlin, Doc Leipzig, Santa Fe, Montreal, Provincetown, Seattle, Vancouver, San Francisco, Ashkelon and many other film festivals worldwide. Her two theatrical releases, PHYLLIS AND HAROLD and ANDRÉ GREGORY: BEFORE AND AFTER DINNER have been screened at The Walter Reade Theatre, Lincoln Center, Film Forum and Cinema Village, NYC, and other theatres across the U.S., and are available on multiple streaming platforms. Her photographic work has been represented by Monica King Contemporary, NYC, Monica King Projects, and now Schoolhouse Gallery. Cindy lives and works in New York City and Truro, Massachusetts.
