For twenty years I was primarily a printmaker and collage artist focused on creating two-dimensional abstract compositions that played with visual balance and motion. In 2017 I took up welding—using scrap metal to create 3-D collages/assemblages. I appreciate the elemental qualities of working with metal and fire — and the rough physicality of the process.
