As owner of Point Galería in Mazatlán, a small art gallery located within the city, she is an amazing artist in her own right. Marysol is a director of the Mazatlán Art Walk, which takes place the first Friday of each month from November to April, and brings art lovers to the galleries, studios, restaurants, bars, and shops in the art district of downtown Mazatlán, She is a valued friend to many as she supports the diverse community of local artists. Her exhibition, “Espectro Visible” (“Visible Spectrum”), opened at Galería Rubio in Mazatlán in August 2023. In Latin, “Espectro” means “image” or “apparition,” and the spectral colors are those present in visible light. In her work, color and form are inseparable, and the visible spectrum of light color is a defining quality. Marysol holds a degree in Visual Arts with a specialization in painting from University of Guadalajara. As an arts and creativity teacher for children at the secondary and university levels, she has also completed diplomas in curating, museology, and cultural management.
