By 19, she was showcasing her artwork in juried competitions with The Federation of Canadian Artists. Throughout her twenties and thirties, she exhibited with the Association of Hawaiian Artists and the Hawaii Watercolor Society, earning numerous Best of Show and Best Watercolor awards.Residing on the beautiful Island of Oahu, Provenza has been sharing the essence and spirit of Hawaii with the world since the late 1980s. For eight years, she operated her own gallery in the Outrigger Reef Hotel in Waikiki. Her work has been a staple in Hawaiian art galleries for over three decades, making her a well-known figure throughout the islands.Provenza strives to capture the essence and emotions of her subjects through subtle details, such as the tilt of a head.
