Drawing inspiration from my journeys across the picturesque landscapes of the United States, from the enchanting shores of Florida to the majestic mountains of Colorado, the sun-kissed hills of California to the serene lakes of Michigan, and beyond. My explorations have also taken me to far-off lands, such as Ireland, England, Scotland, Japan, Israel, and Nicaragua. These places have left lasting impressions on my soul, fueling my artistic vision. Oil is my medium of choice, allowing me to bring these vibrant scenes to life with depth and richness. As I paint, I embark on a profound artistic journey, wandering along the Pacific coast, traversing breathtaking mountain ranges, and venturing deep into the heart of nature's untamed beauty. The most important resource is imagination. I capture the awe of fictional lands in my ongoing "Lord of the Rings" series. Each stroke of my brush is a testament to my passion for art—an expression of my soul's deepest desires. My artistic pursuits extend beyond painting alone. In the realm of creativity, I have found solace in playing the guitar, sketching, and crafting large murals. These diverse outlets allow me to express myself in different ways, adding layers of texture and depth to my artistic world. One of the greatest joys I experience as an artist is the privilege of creating commissioned artwork. It is in these personalized pieces that I am able to create something truly special, a work that speaks directly to the heart of the viewer. Over the years, I have been honored to collaborate with esteemed institutions such as NASA, Mayo Clinic, Ritz Carlton, and Disney, among others. Each commission is an opportunity to connect deeply with others, to bring their visions to life on canvas. Within the walls of my home studio, I find sanctuary—a place where I am free to let my creativity flow, while cherishing moments spent with my ever-growing family. As a dedicated painter, I am overjoyed to be a father, a grandfather, and most recently, a great-grandfather. Together with my wife Cathy, we embarked on a new chapter in our lives when we moved to Florida with our children in 1982. Here, we found a community that overflowed with love, friendship, and countless adventures, creating the perfect backdrop for us to create lasting memories. My journey has been deeply influenced by the works of other renowned artists, including Thomas Moran, Alpert Beirstandt, J.W. Turner, Herman Hertzog, and Joseph McGurl. Their artistry has shaped my own, pushing me to explore new horizons and challenge the boundaries of my creativity. Now, as a critically acclaimed artist, I have had the privilege of lecturing in museums, making appearances on television, and sharing my insights in the pages of magazines and artists' publications.
