John Seerey-Lester is recognized as one of the most acclaimed wildlife artists in the world. His paintings of animals, and the precarious encounters that humans have with them, are found in The White House, major museums, and private collections internationally. He authored and illustrated four books in his Legends of the Hunt book series, including The Legendary Hunts of Theodore Roosevelt. Seerey-Lester was born in 1945 in Manchester, England. From a young age, he showed an artistic aptitude and began painting wildlife in 1980 after making his first trip to East Africa. This trip would become a watershed moment in his career, and from there he would travel the world over in search of the wildlife that he painted. Sadly, in 2020 Seerey-Lester passed away, leaving behind a tremendous legacy. Working with his widow, Suzie Seerey-Lester, Paderewski Fine Art has assembled a singular group of works by the late artist, many of which have never been seen until now.
