Italian-born sculptor, Frank DiVita credits his beginnings to his early exposure to Renaissance art and an intense love of nature. When he was still a child his family migrated to Canada, then Montana. At an early age, he showed a talent for both science and art, which led him to peruse a career in medical illustration. DiVita describes himself as a very mental person who loves to solve complex technical problems. Intrigued with concepts and solutions, he has been a forerunner in the bronze industry. He freely admits to being introverted, uncomfortable in front of crowds, preferring to remain in the background, allowing his art speak for itself. His art work, has attracted the interest of international collectors. From individuals, like Jack Nicholas and Norman Schwarzkopf, to corporate collections such as Pizza Hut, Beatrice Foods, Perrier in France, Wrigley’s in Chicago and NBC in New York. DiVita’s work has also been displayed in the White House and Museums in China and Europe. One of his bronzes is in the permanent collection of the Ronald Reagan Library. Though galleries plead for more pieces, DiVita refuses to sacrifice quality for mass production. Frank has found the ultimate satisfaction in this demanding art form, with creations that border on perfection.
