Shannon Mack is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in figure drawing and painting. Intuitively collaging compositions aid in creating imagery that contains an element of randomness, mirroring back the perfect disorderliness of life. In sorting through iterations, new worlds emerge in which chaos is order. The ability to re-contextualize our perceived reality fosters a clarity that invites continual participation and presence. Most recently, Mack was a year long Artist in Residence at Saugatuck Center for the Arts. She has been active in the West Michigan art community for over 10 years and has partnered with local art organizations, and the city of Grand Rapids to create captivating public art engagement events and murals, pursuing her commitment to community and craft. She holds a BFA from Kendall College of Art and Design and has since studied with renowned artists including Mark English, Sterling Hundley, Martin Campos, and George Pratt.
