Deidre Husak is a trained watercolor artist mastering in realism curated with intention. From the Islands of Hawai'i, she braved coming to the mainland for college. After settling down in the Seattle area she picked up an old love for art and finding her art tribe that would determine the next decade of her life as an artist. Utilizing a variety of innovative methods learned from some of the best watercolorists in the world, she tries to focus on what will make a statement in her art pieces, what moves people or provokes raw emotion. Deidre believes that the best thing about art is having the ability to capture a special moment in time that evokes emotion. Now living in Nashville, she is inspired by the people, culture and music- hoping to create art that will reflect that special vibe that people feel when they experience the South. Her work has been shown in local venues such as Tailgate Brewery, Association for Visual Arts Exhibit in Chattanooga, The Emporium Center Exhibit in Knoxville and Panama City Center for the arts Exhibit. She is a member of Tennessee Watercolor Society, Southern Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society, International Women in Watercolor as well as the Arts Council of Williamson County.
