Anna Vaughn Kincheloe is an artist based in Raleigh, North Carolina. She holds a degree in English from the University of Wollongong, Australia and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from East Carolina University. Through vivid explorations of landscape and in abstract compositions, her series work has evolved to emphasize the Word of God as witnessed in the created, natural world around. She is also drawn to expansive spaces, particularly wide-open horizon lines, and attempts to evoke this sense of freedom in her paintings. Expression, color and movement are also important aspects to her work. When not in her studio, you can likely find her by the coast or out in nature with her husband, Hatcher, and children, Lucy and Byrd.
