Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco in 1922, Mexican bronze artist who worked for Francisco Zúñiga for a time, son of an artisan specialized in religious art and nephew of the sculptor Salvador Cuevas. He collaborated with Ernesto Tamariz on the Monument to the Niños Heroes that is located in the Chapultepec Forest. He studied with Ignacio Asúnsolo and Francisco Zúñiga, a teacher with whom he collaborated for fifteen years.
