BiographyAfter several decades in culinary arts Dan Ferrarese became chronically ill. During that season, Dan found a new sense of purpose and appreciation for art and beauty through his challenges. Dan realized he could create pieces from lost, discarded, and broken objects...like how he often felt. Dan started making art from various types of materials and found that beauty, humor, and thoughtful pieces was a worthwhile purpose and worthy of his efforts. Many of Dan's materials are unusual and often vintage and have wonderful and interesting stories.Dan has worked as a visual mixed media commercial artist using a wide range of materials and mediums such as: wood, metals, glass, stone, paints, fiber, feathers, and other natural materials.The variety of projects that Dan has successfully completed range from: Metal sculptures, water features, vintage light fixtures, wood and/or metal furniture, fiber objects and quilts, floral displays, murals, oil and acrylic canvas paintings, etched glass or warm glass sculptural pieces. Dan also has done ice and food carnivals and floral displays that have been used to welcome hundreds for special events.Dan has sold his works in galleries, online and through private commissions.Dan has also completed his own public art projects (murals, fiber art projects and various sculptural pieces). Dan has also facilitated public art-focused groups and taught individuals various visual art methods.Dan Ferrarese looks forward to discussing future projects and creative opportunities with others while listening to find artistic solutions that can enhance others surroundings and peoples lives through excellence in the visual arts.
