Kari Englehardt is a mixed media artist with an emphasis on the encaustic process. Her work investigates human interactions in the natural world. Previously, she chose to approach topics of: time and place, boundaries and borders, immigration data and immigration origin stories. Currently her work is a dialogue between found machinery and adapted imagined botanical species. These have all been considered through a lens of native plant ecology.Kari’s work has been exhibited recently at Wrong Gallery (Marfa, TX), MixHaus Gallery (Comfort, TX), REM Gallery (San Antonio, TX), as well as other venues nationally and is included in private, institutional and corporate collections. She has a BS from the University of Texas.
