Crystal Marie French spent her early days enraptured by the solace, and connectedness found in Nature. She grew up in rural New England, on Nipmuc Territory, and studied at RISD and in Florence. French is an impressionist and abstract artist whose work evokes a sense of transformation, healing, and reverence for the thread of sacred beauty that pulses throughout life. Her creations, deeply shaped by personal experience and a reverence for her Sami and Scandinavian ancestral heritage, explore the weight of light and shadow. Her works speak to the depths of her own human experience — the struggle, darkness, and quiet, found in life’s most challenging moments, and the transformative power of holding sacred space for one’s light. French’s work weaves thoughtful color combinations with subtle, spirit-born messaging drawn from the quiet wisdom of nature, creating art as a living essence — an invitation to remember who we are. She invites viewers into a space of peace and renewal — as if stepping inside a world of innocence & imagination, and never wishing to leave. French has been recognized internationally for her textural landscapes & is represented currently in galleries across New England.
