A self-taught artist, John began painting seriously in his early 30s. Many of his works are dramatic portraits inspired by his own photographs. He uses acrylics on primed, gallery-style canvas. The scale of his work adds to its impact – paintings range in size from 24” x 24” to 48” x 60”.
