Clint Burbridge is a multi-disciplinary artist who currently lives and works in Florida. The full spectrum of his life’s work, ranges from Contemporary Art to Commercial Art to Art Education, and includes digital design, 3D printing, woodworking, painting, drawing, and glassblowing. He earned his BFA with honors from Pratt Institute, in Brooklyn New York, studying in Drawing and Painting. His practice blends traditional skillsets with modern technology to create unique sculptural works. He was a recipient of the E. Burcher Scholarship for Achievement in Fine Arts, he designs and builds contemporary furniture, and he has illustrated children’s books. Recently, Clint Burbridge has been engaged in making sculptures using a combination of glass fusing and hand-blown glass. This work explores the convergence of technologies and is partially motivated by the lush coastal environment he lives and works in, though he asserts his inspiration to be art history, especially the narrative of early 20th century modernism. He hopes to capture and communicate a sense of “joie de vivre” as presented through his sculptural forms, spatial manipulation, and color schemes. Clint’s artwork was featured on the cover of Arbus Magazine (September/Oct 2016 issue). He has shown in Brooklyn, NY, at the Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art, as well as FSCJ South Gallery, Jacksonville University, the Morean Art Center St. Petersburg, FL, Jacksonville International Airport and various national galleries.
